Big Money Mic, Big Mon, or Mic for short, has been a staple and a mainstay in the rich history of Houston Hip Hop since 1993. Residing from the southside of H-town, his musical talents has inspired an entire culture within the city. Mic’s aggressive yet insightful lyrical style, intertwined with the combination of intellectual wisdom and brilliant humor is reminiscent of no other MC of his caliber. His ferocious mic skills and clever wordplay takes the listener on infinite excursions of intricate complex patterns and insatiable rhythmic riddles. Throughout his extensive career, he has expanded numerous accomplishments far beyond the microphone. Not only is Big Mon your favorite MC’s favorite MC, he is also an award winning writer, composer, producer, executive producer, author, publisher, director, and educator. As a member of the legendary hip-hop group, K-otix, Mic has released seven albums, including the critically acclaimed Universal LP, two EP’s, a mixtape, and numerous singles. He has also headlined many multi-city tours all over the US, as well as overseas, including several countries in Europe, Russia, and Asia. After taking a small hiatus to raise his family and pursue a masters degree in education, Big Mon is back to business, recording and producing new musical masterpieces.
